What an amazing memorable special man

Created by Curtis one year ago

I have understandably found myself reflecting alot recently on Mr A, how much he meant to me and so many others, and why.

What i realised that is for as long as i can remember (nearly 3 decades!), Mr A has done nothing but encourage me, Luke and our school mates and friends to have FUN, via football from primary school onwards, floats at town carnivals, football via Briston Wanderers, my first ever experience of tennis at greshams, or galavanting around multiple peaks in yorkshire raising money for parkinsons, leading thr macarena at multiple abendroth parties or sharing his passion for combine harvesters with my Step Pa Matt, and soooo much more!  Mr A was at the heart of all of these experiences and more- because he didnt just encourage and support us having fun, from his own actions and values he taught is to play fair, to include others, and to win and lose as a team. These are some fairly life affirming qualities to reinforce in people, and so not only will i try and demonstrate them more than ever moving forwards, but you better believe i will dedicate my first wild miss playing tennis next to him too, and not as a reflection of his skills i hasten to add but a celebration of something he gave to me :).

Finally, and again upon relfection, i think something i now realise is precious is time, and what people give with it. Mr A as far as i can see spent his whole life giving his time and energy and just pure fun to people around him and his family, and for that we all have to be thankful.

Finally finally, what a walking talking legacy in his family. I could speak about Luke Rachel and Pat easily and passionatly but incase there is a word limit i will start and finish with Luke- could you meet a kinder, more honest, reliable and thoroughly GOOD human being?? Who encourages others, treats people kindly and has an absolute can do positive disposition? What an incredible legacy for Mr and Mrs A. A walking taljing tribute to the plethora of combined qualities they both bring to the table, and from Luke to Mrs A and Rachel too, we can all keep showing Mr A’s influence and special qualities in everything we do, i just wish i could cook like him haha!

Full appreciation and respect to Mr A, or as my Mum and Dad would fondly remember from Briston FC days, Booty Lovey Darlun X
